Tip #2

** SKUNK ODOR REMOVAL **

USE RUBBER GLOVES

SKUNK SPRAY IS VERY OILY SO I RECOMMEND APPLYING CORN STARCH OR POWDER TO THE AFFECTED AREAS. THIS WILL HELP PULL THE SKUNK OIL FROM THE HAIR. WHILE THIS IS WORKING, MIX THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS TO MAKE YOUR "SKUNK SHAMPOO".

SHAMPOO INGREDIENTS

ONE BOTTLE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

ONE CUP BAKING SODA

ONE TABLESPOON DAWN DISH DETERGENT

ONE TEASPOON VANILLA (OPTIONAL)

Let's Get Started!

MIX ALL INGREDIENTS

APPLY TO PET

(USING A SPONGE ON FACE AVOIDING EYES)

SOAK FOR 15 MINUTES

RINSE

AFTER RINSING, BATHE DOG IN REGULAR DOG SHAMPOO TO RESET THE pH IN COAT AND SKIN.

REPEAT ENTIRE PROCESS IF NECESSARY.

Important Side Notes

IF IT IS A DARK COLORED DOG THE COAT MAY FADE TO A REDDISH BROWN. * * MOST DOGS ARE SPRAYED IN THE FACE ALLOWING SPRAY TO ENTER THE SINUSES. UNFORTUNATELY THE ODOR CAN OFTEN TAKE UP TO 6 MONTHS TO FADE OUT OF NASAL PASSAGES.

* WE SUGGEST REPLACING YOUR PETS COLLAR AS WELL. *

** WE DO NOT OFFER SKUNK REMOVAL PROCEDURES IN OUR SHOP, WE FEEL IT IS NOT FAIR FOR US OR THE OTHER PETS TO HAVE TO SMELL IT ALL DAY. **
